Let’s Work Together…

Cold Outside

Romans 8:28 is an awesome verse…sometimes people try to play it down but I believe God’s word…all of it.  I believe it all happened just the way the bible says and I believe it’s true just like it says.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

I decided to use this verse today to describe how I’m feeling right now regarding patience. Let’s just be honest, I’m not a winter lover.  I like the sunshine and warm summer breezes that don’t chill you to the bone.  When I looked out the door to my office the other day as it was snowing and already covering my footprints, I was reminded that this is only for a season.  Spring is right around the corner…seriously, time goes by so fast!  When you’re in the midst of the struggle it feels like forever, but it’s really just a fleeting moment.  I remind myself, “Patience; this too shall pass.”

I can be patient today because I know the love of God is with me in all seasons.  My heart aches for those who haven’t had that revelation yet.  I used to be there.  I never knew God loved me…I mean really loved me.  I would get depressed and then begin a barrage of negative self-talk that just led me deeper and deeper into a darkness I thought I’d never get out of.   If you are struggling with depression, sadness, loneliness, I want you to know there is only one way out of that pit…you have to let Jesus pick you up, pull you out, lift you up…whatever it takes, call out to Him!  He is patiently waiting on you.

When you know the love of God, you know that all things work together for good.  When you know God, you can rejoice even in the midst of pain and sadness. If you’re hurting right now in any way, be encouraged.  God loves you.  You may not know that, but I do and I’m telling you, it’s true.  He’s saying, “Let’s work this out together…” Seek Him. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you.  Listen to the Bible online…go to the Gospels first…or anything in the New Testament.  Let His word bring healing…and peace…and faith.  Because faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  ROMANS 10:17
