JOY was the first thing I recognized after being born again.  I don’t remember ever feeling joy before.  Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had joyful moments; I’ve had times of happiness.  But this was something altogether new.  The JOY He gives you when you’ve surrendered your life to Him…well, that’s JOY UNSPEAKABLE.

I hope you’ve had this experience but if you haven’t, you still can.  It’s not too late.  He’s not mad at you.  He wants to give you this same kind of joy.  It’s a joy that isn’t dependent on your circumstances.  It’s a sense of knowing deep down in your soul…that you are His.  Nothing and no-one can take that away from you. The dictionary says it’s a feeling of great pleasure and happiness; delight.

The Bible says to delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4.  This means He will fill your heart with new desires…He will make all things new again…He will turn your sadness into joy and give you beauty for ashes.  If you’re sad or hurting, what do you have to lose?  Let Him in…He loves you and wants to give you Joy…Unspeakable Joy!
