For by grace you have been saved through faith.  And this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.  Read the whole chapter here.  Ephesians 2

We are dead in our trespasses and sins until we trust in Christ.  

Once you put ALL your trust in Him you are BORN AGAIN into a new life IN CHRIST.  You won’t act this out perfectly but a true change takes place in your heart.  He gives you new desires.  The main one being that you’ll want everyone (especially those you know and love already) to come to this knowledge as well. To come to repentance and salvation in Jesus Christ.

Faith in the risen Lord is a personal choice.

A baby can’t choose to put their trust in Christ.  You aren’t “infused” through some type of osmosis because your parents were Christians or you attend church.   He will never force Himself on you, but He is there right in the middle of your mess.  If you decide to call out to Him, He will hear you and He will answer you.  He offers to forgive you of your sins and grant you eternal life.

Will you accept Him as Lord and Savior?
