Hospitals are exhausting…but she’s being well cared for. And your prayers are such a blessing. God is good and I believe prayer is so important…it could have been so much worse but she’s doing well.
The doctor thinks she has a medication induced bleeding ulcer. Because of the move and all the hard work she’s put in she has been taking Aleve. He thinks that’s the culprit.
Her hemoglobin was 7.6 and it should be somewhere around 12-15.5! According to the doctor she’s been working on 1/2 her blood supply. Her Blood Pressure was really low too and she’s been weak, fatigued, nauseated and a little dizzy. It got down to 91/48 then went to 88/60 after getting some fluids. They will give her 2 units of blood tonight and want to get her stabilized before doing an EGD on Wednesday.
Again, thank you for your prayers. Please tell me if I can be praying for you.
Blessings!
Jackie

If I interpreted this correctly…it sounds there’s a possibility of her stabilizing? Let me know and would love to hear an update

Not exactly stabilized yet…they have given her 4 units of blood now and her Hemoglobin went up to 8 then back down to 7.8 and maybe lower but she couldn’t remember for sure. I hope to get to talk with the nurse tomorrow. She’s very tired and I had to work today so I only saw her for about 30 min this evening and she was very sleepy. She can have clear liquids until 9am and they plan to do the EGD in the afternoon. The doc did tell her she may not get to come home tomorrow though…it all depends on what he finds with the EGD and if they can get her blood stabilized. Thank you (and all who read this) for your prayers. God Bless you!

She’s doing good, thanks Jackie! It’s a long recuperation. She’ll probably be out of work for another 6 weeks. Lots of physical therapy.

Wow! That is a long recuperation time. Praise God she is able to do the PT…maybe there is someone there that needs her testimony. 😊 We make our plans and the Lord directs our steps! Lol…makes more sense every time I think about it.

Thank you! Yes, she has witnessed to many all though this “setback.”

I just found out that I have a hiatal hernia and pleurisy. I’m seeing a surgeon tomorrow but I really don’t want to have surgery. My friend from church had surgery on her hiatal hernia, got sepsis and died last month. The fear is real, even though I know I shouldn’t fear.

😯 praying…it is human nature to have fear…and it is not sinful to feel a sense to fear but when that fear takes over that is when we have given in to fear (and agreed with the enemy and not with God…) we are told in James 1:2-3
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.”
James 1:2-3 ESV

I’m thanking God right now for my trials b/c I know He is producing a steadfast faith within me…so this is prayer for you as well!

She’s being well taken care of…the EGD is tomorrow and we’ll know more then. Her Hemoglobin is still too low and she’s now had 4 units of blood. So I appreciate your prayers! God Bless. 🙂

Praise the Lord The NSAIDs are extremely. Aleve is naproxen sodium, generic. It says on bottle that if you more and longer than prescribed, you can get a heart attack or stroke. Never take with stomach ulcers. only aspirin can help these. Always read product warnings. Some good came from your mother’s sadness. I read the product I take bottle. Our God Bless and TY.

Yes…Praise the Lord. She had never had an ulcer that we were aware of but they do run in our family…her mom and me (her daughter) at least. Anyway…that is very sound advice and I appreciate it and your prayers. Thank you. God Bless!

Sorry, wrote too fast. It should be: extremely dangerous and take more and only aspirin can help with stroke and heart attack. I think faster than I can type. I wish we had an edit button. 😦
