Isaiah 48:3 King James Version (KJV)
3ย I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
God can do it in an instant…whatever He chooses He can do…SUDDENLY! He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
When Christ returns as judge it will be in an instant.
Don’t wait…don’t waste precious time like I did. I heard Him call me many, many years ago and I said, “I’m not ready yet; I want to have fun first.”
My “fun” was what God calls SIN. The fun I tried to have wasn’t really fun after all. My sinfulness made me miserable. I became bitter, angry, lonely and depressed. Finally, I did call out to Him to save me. He was right there all the time. It was me who had turned my back on Him.
My bitterness and tears have been turned to joy…but sin is not without consequences.
God is faithful AND just. He can give you beauty for ashes…but don’t wait! His plan is better than anything we can dream up on our own. I know He is redeeming the time and I’m grateful for that. It does no good to say I wish I’d come to the truth sooner or I wish I had taught my son the truth when he was little. God knew I was rebellious and He let me go. It is by His grace I have been saved, not of myself…I cannot boast! Nothing I did or could ever do would be enough to pay the price for my sinfulness. Only Jesus! He is my rock and my salvation. I was bought with a price…His precious blood. And it had to happen just the way it did for me to come to the truth. That is why I know today that I have to put my son in His hands. God knows best and I have put my trust in Him.
There are consequences for sin even after you’re saved, it’s natural law. But there are likewise blessings for turning from sin and toward God. My suggestion to you today? Turn from your sin and teach your children to do the same. Teach them about natural consequences.
God is blessing me today with wisdom and knowledge of Him. He is showering me with His grace and His mercy and I am so blessed to be called a child of God.
He wants you to know Him too! Won’t you call out to Him today? Trust Him to show you His plan for your life. Trust Him to do it…SUDDENLY!
*UPDATE: Original post had the wrong verse linked…Isaiah 48:3 is the “SUDDENLY” verse!

If you’re interested I have updated this post to include the corrected link to the Bible verse that actually goes with this post. It actually speaks of how He is the God of “suddenly”.

I had to update this post because I had linked the wrong verse reference. I had accidentally linked Isaiah 43:3 instead of 48:3. While all verses in the Bible are wonderful, that verse had nothing to do with the post itself. When I clicked on the link this morning I realized that and had to make some quick changes! Note to self: Double check your links before you post…LOL!

Amen. We all have sorrows of our wrongs in life. Yes, there are conquences that we must bear, But our God asks us to lay them on Him. He says “All things turn to the good for Those who love Him.:)

Yup itโs always best to follow right away! It sure would save us a lot of pain and heartache. BUT isnโt it amazing that he takes even our worst choices and can turn them for good when we do finally obey?? That is the mystery of God! Perfect but uses imperfection.

Yes! Heโs so good. I remember once when my son was young and he had disobeyed about something, I said to him, โSomeday youโll realize it would be much better for you to obey the first time!โ About a year after I was saved the Lord reminded me of that time so long ago…it went something like this, โJackie, remember what you told your son?โ Hahaha!
